I began my formal music training at Cal State Polytechnic University, Pomona, while studying for an undergraduate degree in biology. I studied classical guitar under the direction of Peter Yates, member of the Elgart/Yates Guitar Duo and head of the Guitar Dept at UCLA.

As a musician, what drives me is the art of self expression through music and that defines my love for Jazz. I was fortunate enough to have been aquainted with the late great Ronald Muldrow who taught me that when it comes to jazz, it's not what you know-it's how you say it. With this in mind, I've devoted myself to studying jazz and have performed at such venues as Owen's Bistro in Chino and the Hip Kitty in Claremont, as well as visiting jam sessions around town such as Steamers in Fullerton.

On top of a busy performance schedule that includes private events (weddings, dinner parties, award ceremonies), I am also involved in music education. For the past four years, I have been teaching private studio guitar in the San Gabriel and Pomona valleys. I have developed and implemented a guitar course for the city of Alhambra where I currently reside. Most recently, I have founded the Alhambra Guitar Ensemble-a guitar chamber group that performs music of all styles (from Bach to the Ramones!)

I invite you to browse the site, listen to some of my recordings, view some of my pictures and watch clips of my performances. Don't forget to sign the mailing list to stay up to date with my events. Peace!
